I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified EMDR Clinician and have been working in the field of counseling since 1986. I truly love what I do and feel privileged to work with a diverse range of individuals and couples, witnessing their healing, growth, and transformation.
My professional background is both varied and extensive. Early in my career, I trained and worked in a variety of clinical settings, providing counseling to adolescents, adults, couples, and families. These experiences have given me a broad perspective on the many ways people navigate relationships, life transitions, emotional challenges, and trauma.
My education and professional training have been ongoing throughout my career. I have completed specialized training with Dr. John Gottman of The Gottman Institute in Seattle and attended seminars with Dr. Ellyn Bader of The Couples Institute in Menlo Park, both highly regarded for their work and research in couples’ therapy. I am also a Certified EMDR Practitioner and maintain a strong and ongoing interest in the evolving field of traumatology and the ways trauma affects the brain, body, emotions, and relationships.
